  • This Boat Rocks

Once again, Chef Angela showed off her culinary and pastry skills at the 2011 BVI Charter Boat Show by winning two awards.

She won 1st Place in the Caribbean Mountain Coffee category (best use of locally grown organic coffee) with her trio of coffee infused desserts: Coconut Coffee Tart with Coco Lopez Whip, Mandarin Chocolate Torte and Coffee Cognac Crème Brulee.

Chef Angela also won second place in the Dessert category with the same trio of desserts.
(Ironic because she doesn’t even like coffee.)

Caribbean Dream has recently instituted some changes that we hope will help contribute to a cleaner and healthier environment.

We have eliminated our dependency on bottled water by supplying our guests with aluminum water bottles that can be filled from the large dispenser located in the salon. All of the water on board Caribbean Dream is made by our watermaker and is filtered by a reverse osmosis membrane which makes the water quality purer than regular bottled water. The aluminum bottles have our logo on it and are a great souvenir from your charter.

Although the boat is equipped with underwater lights, we will refrain from using them as they upset the natural ecological balance of the underwater life.

Caribbean Dream has four solar panels mounted on the hard top that help keep our batteries topped up. The panels have cut down on our generator time by about half. The generator, while indispensable, is very loud and creates both noise and air pollution.
